The Check'In Infra is the Check'In model with the most features. It can detect vibrations, but also movement and light. To avoid false alerts (e.g., scooters passing over the telecom chamber), it only alerts you when the three parameters (vibrations, movement, light jump) are met.
For ease, we recommend that you finish installing the Check'In Infra and test it before installing it in its final place (for example, when you are at the office).
Testing my Check'In Infra at the office
1 Once you have finished installing your Check'In Infra, place it in a dark place (box, closet, drawer). Make sure it is in the dark.
2 Wait 5 minutes. During this time, make sure that the Check'In Infra does not experience any vibration (do not move the box, do not knock the drawer...).
3 Open the container in which the Check'In Infra is located wide.
4 Pass your hand 5-6 times over the motion sensor. The Check'In Infra LED should light up in red. If not, pass your hand over the sensor again.
5 Give some small knocks on the Check'In Infra.
6 You should then receive an alert on your phone indicating that the Check'In Infra has detected an intrusion.
7 If not, go to the event history of your Check'In Infra to check if the sensor has detected a break-in. The alert is displayed as a red circle containing the icon of an open door. Next to it should be, in parentheses, the three detection parameters: "(Motion + Brightness + Vibration)".
If your Check'In Infra has detected an intrusion, check that your phone has enough network to receive notifications and that the contact indicated during installation or in the emergency contacts is yours. You can find the contacts linked to the Check'In Infra in the Check'In Pro app as well as in the Dashboard.
- In the Check'In Pro app : tap on the sensor card. Check in "Users" and in "Notifications" that your phone number and/or email address appear in one of them. Also make sure that the buttons next to them are red and activated.
- In the Dashboard : tap on the sensor card, then click on "Contacts" to check that your phone number and/or email address appear. Also make sure that the buttons next to them are red and activated.
8 If no event appears 10 minutes after testing your Check'In Infra, press three times the button located on the right side of the sensor to force a connection. Wait a few minutes, then check the event history of the Check'In Infra. If your sensor has detected an intrusion but you have not been notified, refer to step 7.
9 If the Check'In Infra has detected only one or two parameters (e.g., vibration + motion; motion + brightness) or if none appears in the history, perform the sensor test again. Make sure to properly follow steps 1 to 5 above (wait long enough, pass your hand 5-6 times over the motion detector, tap a dozen times on the box...).
💡 It is important to insist on each step. During a real break-in, the telecom chamber is closed for much longer than 5 minutes, and the knocks given are stronger and the movements more frequent than during the test !
Testing my Check'In Infra on site
1 Once your Check'In Infra is installed in the telecom chamber, close the hatch.
2 Wait 5 minutes. During this time, make sure that the Check'In Infra does not experience any vibration (do not walk on the hatch...).
3 Give a tap on the hatch.
4 Open the telecom chamber wide.
5 Pass your hand 5-6 times over the motion sensor.
6 You should now receive an alert on your phone indicating that the Check'In Infra has detected an intrusion.
7 If not, go to the event history of your Check'In Infra to check if the sensor has reported an intrusion. The alert is displayed as a red circle containing the icon of an open door. Next to it should be, in parentheses, the three detection parameters: "(Motion + Brightness + Vibration)".
If your Check'In Infra has detected an intrusion, check that your phone has sufficient network to receive notifications and that the contact indicated during the installation or in the emergency contacts is indeed yours. You can find the contacts linked to the Check'In Infra in the Check'In Pro app as well as in the Dashboard.
- In the Check'In Pro application : tap on the sensor sheet. Check in "Users" and in "Notifications" that your phone number and/or email address appear in one of them. Also make sure that the buttons next to them are red and activated.
- In the Dashboard : tap on the sensor sheet, then click on "Contacts" to check that your phone number and/or email address appear. Also make sure that the buttons next to them are red and activated.
8 If no event is reported 10 minutes after testing your Check'In Infra, open the casing and press three times the button located on the right side of the sensor to force a connection. Wait a few minutes, then check the event history of the Check'In Infra. If your sensor has detected an intrusion, but you have not been notified, refer to step 7.
9 If the Check'In Infra has detected only one or two parameters (e.g. vibration + motion; motion + brightness) or if none is reported in the history, repeat the sensor test. Make sure to properly follow steps 1 to 5 above (wait long enough after closing the hatch, give a dozen strong taps on the hatch, pass your hand 5-6 times over the motion detector...).
💡 It is important to emphasize each step. During a real break-in, the telecom chamber is closed for much longer than 5 minutes, and the taps given are stronger and the movements more frequent than during the test!
