In general, your Check'In 2 is automatically updated as soon as an update is available. However, it may happen, especially if the network is not sufficient, that the update does not take place automatically.
If that is the case, go to your app and tap the box inviting you to update your Check'In 2. Then, follow the instructions displayed in the app. Your sensor will download the latest Check'In 2 update.
If, for some reason, you are unable to update your Check'In 2, here are the steps to follow:
1 Make sure that your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and that you are close to your Check'In 2.
- For iOS users : you can enable your phone's Bluetooth by going to the "Settings" of your phone, then into "Bluetooth". Slide the button next to "Bluetooth" to the right to enable it. The circle will move to the right and the rectangle in which the circle is located will turn green.
- For Android users : you can enable your phone's Bluetooth by going to the "Settings" of your phone, then into "Bluetooth". Slide the button next to "Bluetooth" to the right to enable it. The circle will move to the right and the rectangle in which the circle is located will turn blue.
2 Make sure that the Check'In 2's LED is slowly flashing blue. If it is not, press for three seconds on the button located on the right side of the sensor. Release it once the Check'In 2's LED turns blue.
3 If the update fails during download, restart it. It will resume from the point where it stopped (for example, if it failed at 56%, it will resume at 56%). If this happens again, repeat the step until it reaches 100%.
4 Make sure that the batteries are sufficiently charged. To do this, go to the Check'In 2's record in your app or on the Dashboard to check its battery level.
💡 Here are the steps to follow to find the battery level of your Check'In 2:
- In the Check'In app: tap on your sensor's record. The battery level is displayed above the box indicating the number of openings during the day or month.
- In the Check'In Pro app: tap on your sensor's record. The battery level is displayed above the list of the different menus.
- In the Dashboard : click on your sensor's record. In the "Summary" menu, you will find the "Battery level".
💡 If your sensor is in Standard mode and the siren is activated, you can also test the batteries by testing the Check'In 2. To do this, tap the sensor about ten times so that the LED lights up in green. Once the Check'In 2 has detected an attempted intrusion, an audio announcement will notify you that the site is protected. If the sound is of poor quality, it means that the battery level is too low.
