If you want to move your Check'In Pro 2 to another location, for example after a move, here are the steps to follow:
Resetting the Check'In Pro 2
Press the button on the right side of the Check'In Pro 2 for about 9 seconds. Release it once the LED lights up red. You will hear a beep, indicating that your sensor has been reset.
💡 If you did not hear a beep, repeat the procedure!
💡 Wait until the LED stops blinking red before proceeding to the next steps. Otherwise, the Check'In Pro 2 reset will not have worked, and you will need to repeat the procedure.
Storing the Check'In Pro 2
Step 1: Remove the Check'In Pro 2 from its mount
To do this, remove the SafeStick located in the middle slot of the sensor (you can use the tip of a paperclip or a pen). Then place it in the top slot of the Check'In Pro 2. Slide the Check'In Pro 2 upwards to detach it from its mount.
Step 2: Remove the batteries from the Check'In Pro 2
💡 Make sure the LED has stopped blinking red and that you heard the beep. If you remove the batteries before, the Check'In Pro 2 reset will not work and you will need to repeat the procedure.
Step 3: Detach the Check'In Pro 2 mount from the door
Start by lifting the top of the mount. Then, pull gradually to release the adhesive. If you are concerned about damaging the mount, use a solvent or a heat source to remove the adhesive strips more easily.
💡 You can, for example, use a hairdryer to remove the adhesive strips.
Step 4: Remove the adhesive from the door
Depending on your door material, a small adhesive residue may remain. Remove it with your finger or a plastic tool (for example, a card). Scrape the adhesive vertically: it will roll up and detach gradually.
Step 5: Clean the door surface
If necessary, finish cleaning with a cloth soaked in solvent (for example, acetone).
Uninstalling the Check'In Pro 2
Via the Check'In App
Open your app, then tap on the Check'In Pro 2 you want to uninstall. Go to the "Settings" tab, then to "Advanced Information", located at the bottom of the page. Tap on "Uninstall Check'In".
Via the Check'In Pro App
Open your app, then tap on the Check'In Pro 2 you want to uninstall. Go to the "Uninstall Check'In" section. Follow the steps provided, then tap "Uninstall Check'In".
Via the Dashboard
Go to the Dashboard. Find your Check'In Pro 2 in your organization or enter its IMEI (serial number) in the search bar. Once on the sensor's page, click on the "Settings" tab, then again on "Settings". Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you find "Uninstall device". Click on the "Uninstall" button.
Reinstalling the Check'In Pro 2
Your Check'In Pro 2 can now be installed in a new location! 🎉
