Generally, your Check'In automatically updates as soon as an update is available. However, if the network is insufficient, the update may not happen automatically.
Then go to your application. Tap on the box inviting you to update your Check'In, and follow the instructions displayed in the application. Your sensor will download the latest Check'In update.
If for some reason you cannot update your Check'In, here are the steps to follow:
1 Make sure that the Bluetooth on your phone is enabled and that you are near your Check'In.
- For iOS users: you can enable your phone's Bluetooth by going to the "Settings" and then "Bluetooth". Slide the button next to "Bluetooth" to the right to enable it. The circle will move to the right, and the rectangle containing the circle will turn green.
- For Android users: you can enable your phone's Bluetooth by going to the "Settings" and then "Bluetooth". Slide the button next to "Bluetooth" to the right to enable it. The circle will move to the right, and the rectangle containing the circle will turn blue.
2 Make sure that the Check'In LED is blinking slowly in blue. If not, press for about three seconds the button located on the right side of the sensor. Release once the Check'In LED turns blue.
3 Check the current version of your Check'In. If the version is lower than 4.4.2 and your Check'In does not start downloading the update after 3 minutes, press the Check'In button 3 times. This will force a connection, allowing the Check'In to start downloading the update. If it does not work, press the Check'In button 3 times again, and then wait 3 minutes for the update to download. If the problem persists, repeat this step until it works.
4 If the update fails during the download, restart it. It will resume from where it stopped (for example, if it failed at 56%, it will resume at 56%). If this happens again, repeat the step until it reaches 100%.
5 Make sure that the batteries are sufficiently charged. To do this, go to your Check'In sheet in your application or the Dashboard to check the battery level.
💡 Here are the steps to check your Check'In battery level:
- In the Check'In app: tap on your sensor's sheet. The battery level is displayed above the box showing the number of openings in the day or month.
- In the Check'In Pro app: tap on your sensor's sheet. The battery level is indicated above the list of different menus.
- In the Dashboard: click on your sensor's sheet. In the "Summary" menu, you will find the "Battery level".
💡 For Check'In and Check'In Pro 2, if your sensor is in Standard mode and the siren is activated, you can also test the batteries by testing the Check'In. To do this, tap the sensor about ten times until the LED lights up in green. Once the Check'In detects an intrusion attempt, an audio announcement will notify you that the site is protected. If the sound quality is poor, it means that the battery level is too low.
