Since version 2.8.0 of the Dashboard, you can view and configure your Bluetooth access badges there.
"Badges" Menu
The new "Badges" menu allows you to view all the badges of your organisation and its sub-organisations. You can find the MAC addresses of the badges, their names, the organisation they belong to, and the number of Check'In devices they are linked to.
A badge can have one of these three statuses:
- In stock: The badge is in your organisation but has not yet been installed in the Check'In or Check'In Pro app.
- Pending pairing: The badge has been installed in one of the two applications but has not yet been linked to a Check'In.
- Associated: The badge has been linked to one or more Check'In devices.
Badge Profile
Clicking on a badge will take you to its profile. Several details are displayed in the "Summary" tab:
- MAC address: This is the badge's unique identifier (similar to the IMEI for the Check'In devices).
- Serial number: A number provided by the badge supplier.
- UUID; Minor; Major: A set of data used to identify the badge and pair it with the Check'In devices.
In the "Check'Ins" tab, you will find all Check'In devices linked to the badge. Click on "Associate with a Check'In" and enter the Check'In's IMEI to pair the badge with a sensor. To unassign a Check'In from the badge, click on "Select", check one or more Check'In devices, then click on "Unassign".
In the "Settings" tab, you can rename the badge or uninstall it. If you uninstall it, the badge will no longer be linked to any Check'In.
View Badges Linked to a User
In the "Users" menu, click on a user's profile, then on the "Badges" tab to see all the badges the user has installed. If the user has an administrator status, they will also have access to all the badges linked to their organisation.
Add a Badge to an Organisation
You can assign an access badge to one of your sub-organisations. To do this, go to the relevant organisation’s profile, then click on the "Badges" tab. Click the "+ Associate a badge" button and add one or more badges manually or using a CSV file. If adding manually, enter the badge's MAC address in the search bar, then click "Search" to find it. Once found, click "Associate". The badge will be linked to the organisation and can be used by all administrator and supervisor accounts within it.
💡 You cannot assign a badge to two different organisations.
💡 A user with only standard access will not see the organisation's badges in the Dashboard. They will need to install the badge themselves via the Check'In or Check'In Pro app.
