Since version 2.8.0 of the Dashboard, you can now add favourite contacts directly within your organisation or one of its sub-organisations.
Why add favourite contacts?
During the installation of a Check'In, you can add two emergency contacts. If you plan to install multiple Check'In with the same emergency contacts, creating favourite contacts from the Dashboard allows you to avoid manually adding emergency contact information for each new installation. You just need to select the favourite contact during the Check'In's installation to add it directly as an emergency contact.
How to add a favourite contact in the Dashboard?
Go to your main organisation, in the "My Organization" menu. If you wish to add a favourite contact to only one of the sub-organizations, go to the "Organizations" menu instead and select the organisation of your choice.
Once on the page of the organisation of your choice, click on the "Favorite Contacts" tab. You will find the favourite contacts already assigned to the organisation. To add one, click on the "+ Add a favorite contact" button.
Fill in the required information. You can set the phone number as an on-call number. You also have the option to apply this contact to the organisation and its sub-organizations. If you check this box, all user accounts belonging to the organisation and/or one of its sub-organizations will be able to select the contact as an emergency contact during a Check'In's installation.
The new favourite contact will then appear in the "Favorite Contacts" menu. If you wish to modify the information of a contact or delete it, click on "Edit".
Modify the information of your choice, then click on "Save". To delete the contact, click on "Delete contact".
How to add a favourite contact in the app?
At the end of a Check'In's installation process, you will be prompted to add emergency contacts. Tap on "+ Add an emergency contact", then on "Copy from a favorite". The favourite contacts saved in the organisation you belong to will be displayed in the app. Select the contact(s) of your choice, then tap on "Continue" to save the new emergency contacts.
💡 Currently, you can only find your favourite contacts in the Check'In app. This feature will soon be available in the Check'In Pro app.
