In general, when an intruder attempts to enter a protected area, they pick or break the lock of the door, then enter the site. The Check'In then detects the intrusion attempt and immediately notifies you via notification, SMS, email, or automated call with the message "Attempted break-in detected".
However, in some cases, the intruder may pick or break the lock but wait several hours or days before entering the site. In addition to the "Attempted break-in detected" message sent at the time of the lock manipulation, you then receive an additional message:
If the door is opened within an hour of the "Attempted break-in detected" message being sent, a "Your Check'In detected a door opening following an attempted intrusion" message is sent to you.
If the intrusion occurs later, within 48 hours of the detected break-in attempt, you are informed in real time of a door opening, even if it is not the selected detection mode for this Check'In.
